A revert since January 2011 and studying still (with travel) to learn more about submission, I’m non-materialistic and prefer a simple life based on self-improvement and helping others, including helping my partner in marriage. I’m quite a private, lighthearted, ‘calm in a crisis’ and patient type of person who it has been said has a ‘voice of reason’ and is ‘brave’ when faced with difficulties – either my own or others’. I’m not ‘loud’ but I will speak up if things aren’t right. I’m also content to listen and like to spend the time to chat things through to reach a place of mutual respect and understanding whether in disagreement or agreement. A really good conversation on any topic is an exciting thing.
I like to crochet and I write a little of my observations or du’a. I enjoy cooking fresh healthy food from scratch and am creative (Ex-Graphic Designer). Walking is my favourite exercise and so occasional breaks away together, close to natural surroundings are a favourite thing. I don’t have children but they are part of my work and am content with what Allah swt has provided me. If necessary, I would consider fostering or caring for your children if you have them.

A revert or practising muslim who is sure of themselves and who feels secure in their deen, enough to know their responsibilities and guide me in marriage. Ideally, a good communicator with an open, humble heart and generally kind and patient disposition when showing me about islam or receiving the same from me. Someone similar in the sense that they’re not ‘rigid’ or trying to be perfect but are willing to learn, change and improve themselves slowly but surely for Allah swt. You don’t need to be a ‘high flyer’ or overly ambitious type, earning loads of money – I would find your conscientiousness towards becoming closer to Allah swt one of the most attractive things about you.
